                                                       Potato Kabab Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Aloo (Potatoes): 500 grams, boiled and mashed
  • Pyaz (Onion): 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Hari mirch (Green chili): 1-2, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)
  • Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste): 1 teaspoon
  • Dhaniya powder (Coriander powder): 1 teaspoon
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder): 1/2 teaspoon
  • Haldi powder (Turmeric powder): 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Besan (Gram flour): 2-3 tablespoons
  • Namak (Salt): To taste
  • Fresh dhaniya (Coriander leaves): 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Fresh pudina (Mint leaves): 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Cooking oil: For shallow frying

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add boiled and mashed potatoes.

  2. Add finely chopped onions, green chilies, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the mashed potatoes.

  3. Mix all the ingredients well to form a uniform mixture.

  4. Add finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves to the mixture and mix them in.

  5. Gradually add gram flour (besan) to the mixture. Add besan a little at a time and knead the mixture until it can hold its shape and is not too sticky. You may need 2-3 tablespoons of besan.

  6. Once the mixture is ready, take a small portion of it and shape it into a round or oval-shaped kabab.

  7. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa and add a little cooking oil for shallow frying.

  8. Place the kababs on the hot pan and cook them on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crisp on both sides. You can drizzle a little oil on the kababs if needed while cooking.

  9. Once the kababs are cooked and have a nice golden color, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.

  10. Serve the hot and crispy potato kababs with mint chutney or ketchup.

Enjoy your delicious homemade potato kababs!
